Rose Canyon Nature Walk
Sunday, Feb 19, 9 – 10:30am

Join the San Diego Canyoneers and watch for hawks soaring above Rose Creek in this 275-acre oasis along the old Santa Fe Railroad roadbed. Volunteers have planted a native plant garden near the trailhead. Canyoneers are San Diego Natural History Museums volunteers trained to lead hikes and teach appreciation of plants and animals in Southern California. Free of charge. If you are unable to make it during that time I found a art studio show (Holiday Trunk Show) that also offers classes to kids on a regular basis (none on 12/10/11). The show starts at 5:30pm.

Several years ago I flew a kite for the first time in my life. It might be that your mentee hasn’t tried it yet either. The kite store at Seaport Village is fun, but not free!

Rock n’ Ride “Rally Ride” Highlights ~ September 25, 2010

On September 25th, 2010, we held a “Rally Ride” to encourage and inform people about the upcoming “Rock N Ride” in May 2011. This ride was free and kicked-off for a good cause. There was a “pay to eat” lunch from the grill at the conclusion of the ride. KUSI highlight the Rally Ride on the morning news.
